"The Feminine" is a body of work created during Gloria's residency at the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation in Taos, NM last year. It reveals a deep leap taken by the artist into drawing and new printing techniques. Also finding her own spiritual connection with the universe, creating her own mythology and the symbolism or codex to go with it. The artist grew up in a matriarchal world and it comes through in her deep research and inspiration through archetypes and the goddesses of the world. These photographs are all details of the 5' x1' scrolls made out of Japanese hand made papers with layers of wax.
